Arthur C. Begay (December 15, 1932 – 2010) was a Navajo American painter from Newcomb, New Mexico, recognized for his colorful, flat style paintings. His works often depicted everyday life with scenic backgrounds such as Monument Valley and Shiprock. Begay exhibited his art nationwide, and some are part of the permanent collection at the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian. Influenced by his time studying with Norman Rockwell, he spent much of his life in Shiprock and sold his art in local trading posts.
