Arne Skjånes was a Norwegian vicar born on December 9, 1929, in Namsos and passed away on November 1, 2003. He spent most of his career as a parish priest in Tolga. Skjånes undertook his theological studies and became ordained in 1958. He held various positions including vicar in Nidaros Diocese and parish priest in Frøya, Hitra, and Tolga, where he served until retirement. He authored several hymns, with one included in the Norwegian Hymn Book, following in the footsteps of his father, who was also a vicar.
