Christiansen won the prestigious Holmenkollbakken competition in 1933 and earned a silver medal at the Norwegian Championship in 1934 in Porsgrunn, finishing behind Hans Kleppen. In 1935, he claimed the title from the normal hill in Molde, highlighting his competitiveness in the sport during this era.
