Ariah Lev Mohiliver was an Israeli chess master and editor, born on May 16, 1904, in Białystok, Poland. He emigrated to Palestine in 1920 and became one of the nation's top chess players. Mohiliver co-founded the Emanuel Lasker Club in 1922, the first Jewish chess club in Palestine. He contributed to the chess community by publishing problems in notable newspapers and editing the chess magazine Ha’shachmat. Active in the field until 1992, he notably marked the 70th anniversary of Jerusalem's Rubinstein Chess Club. He passed away on March 7, 1996, in Jerusalem.
