He has coached teams such as Sasan and Rah-Ahan and has a history of refereeing wrestling and football during the 1960s and 1970s. Laroudi began his journalism career in 1966 with Kayhan Varzesh and has served as the editor-in-chief of Iran's first sports newspaper, Abrar Varzeshi. He was the editor of Jahan-e Football from 2003 to 2008, mentoring many journalists across generations.
