Antonio Pereira (November 27, 1922 - July 16, 1999) was the founder of the martial art Miyama Ryu. He moved to the United States at a young age and worked as a tailor. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army and learned combat skills in Australia. He trained in Judo under Kyuzo Mifune and Aikido under Kishomaru Ueshiba in Japan. Pereira developed Miyama Ryu, combining Jujutsu, Aikido, and Judo, and later taught it in the Dominican Republic. He passed away in 1999, gaining recognition in martial arts.
