Antonio Camacho García (1926-2017) was a Spanish politician who became the first mayor of Granada following the 1979 local elections, the first after the Francoist regime. Born in Mengíbar, he represented the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) and assumed office on April 19, 1979. His term was short-lived, lasting only six months, due to infighting within the PSOE, leading to his resignation in October 1979. He died on December 25, 2017, at the age of 90, and was laid to rest in the San José municipal cemetery.
