Anton Khizhnyak was a Ukrainian Soviet writer, born on December 8, 1907, in Zachepilovka, within the Poltava Governorate of the Russian Empire. He obtained a doctorate in historical and political sciences and served as a professor. Khizhnyak was a member of the Academy of Political Sciences of Ukraine. He was the father of Igor Khizhnyak. Khizhnyak's contributions to literature and academia mark him as a significant figure in the Ukrainian cultural landscape. He passed away on October 15, 1993.
