Anthony Massingill is an American man who was convicted in the 1979 rape and robbery case in Dallas, Texas. Recent DNA tests support his claim of innocence. He was jointly convicted with Cornelius Dupree, who was exonerated in 2011. Massingill is represented by the Texas Wesleyan Innocence Project and may be cleared in a future hearing. Unlike Dupree, Massingill is also serving a sentence for another 1980 rape conviction, which he maintains he did not commit. DNA testing for this second case is currently in progress.
