Antanas Papšys was a Lithuanian historian and linguist, born on October 8, 1934. He was the author of numerous travel guides for Vilnius and co-author of the book "Baltikums," published in seven languages by the German publisher 'Beadeker’s.' He served as the long-time head of the Vilnius sightseeing bureau. He passed away on July 28, 2007, in Vilnius.
