Anshu Jamsenpa is an Indian mountaineer born on December 31, 1979. She is recognized as the first woman in the world to climb Mount Everest twice in a single season and also the first person to ascend Everest twice within five days. Over her career, she has summited Mount Everest five times, making her the first Indian woman to achieve this feat. In 2017, she received the Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award for her contributions to mountaineering. In 2021, she was honored with the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award.
