Anne Arundel Hopkins Aitken (1911-1994) was an influential American Zen Buddhist in the Harada-Yasutani lineage. She co-founded the Honolulu Diamond Sangha in 1959 with her husband, Robert Baker Aitken, and purchased its properties, including Koko An Zendo and Maui Zendo. Aitken was pivotal to promoting women's equality in Zen practice. Her journey included studies at Oxford and teaching, as well as an extensive travel highlight leading to her engagement with Buddhism. She has left a lasting legacy through her dedication to the Dharma and the support of the Sangha.
