Anna Maria Volpe Rinonapoli was an Italian writer, translator, and teacher born on February 29, 1924, in Agordo, Italy. She studied classical philology and taught at secondary schools. Rinonapoli had interests in anthropology, ethnography, and history. She made her debut in science fiction literature in 1963 with her short story 'Ministro notturno' published in the magazine Futuro. She passed away on October 8, 1986, in Parma.
