Ann G. Baumgartner Carl (August 27, 1918 - March 20, 2008) was an American aviator who made history as the first American woman to fly a jet aircraft for the United States Army Air Forces when she piloted the Bell YP-59A fighter at Wright Field as a test pilot during World War II. She served at Wright Field as an operations officer in the fighter test division and was a member of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) program.
