Anita Schauwvlieghe was a Belgian inker and colorist born on January 15, 1958, in Ekeren. She started her career at Studio Vandersteen at the age of eighteen, where she became a key figure responsible for inking, coloring, and lettering various comic series such as Suske en Wiske, De Rode Ridder, Bessy, and Jerom. After the studio was acquired by Standaard Uitgeverij, she also contributed to the series Kiekeboe. Anita Schauwvlieghe passed away on January 4, 2014, in Borgerhout due to cancer.
