Anesa Kajtazović, born on August 30, 1986, is an American politician of Bosnian descent who served as a member of the Iowa House of Representatives from the 61st district from 2011 to 2015. She was a Democratic candidate for the U.S. Congress in Iowa's 1st congressional district, receiving 14.7% of the vote in the 2014 primary. Notably, she was the youngest woman ever elected to the Iowa legislature and the first American of Bosnian origin to serve in it. Kajtazović initiated aid efforts for flood victims in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
