Andrus Järvi, born on February 11, 1953, in Tallinn, is an Estonian violist. He studied violin at the Tallinn Music Secondary School from 1961 to 1970 and graduated from Tallinn Music School in 1973 and the Estonian State Conservatory in Herbert Laane's viola class in 1978. He performed with the Estonia Orchestra and has been a member of ERSO since 1975, serving as the principal violist from 1985 to 1990. He has also played in Finland and was a founding member of the Tallinn String Quartet.
