Andranik Eskandarian is a former American soccer player of Iranian-Armenian descent, born on December 31, 1951, in Tehran, Iran. He played as a defensive midfielder and represented several clubs, including Taj FC in Iran and the New York Cosmos in the United States. He immigrated to the United States in 1978 after his contract with Taj FC ended and became a U.S. citizen. Eskandarian retired from professional soccer in 1990.
