Anders M. Andersen is a Norwegian literary scholar and language activist born on December 31, 1940, in Tasta, then part of Hetland municipality. He studied at Kongsgård school in Stavanger and is an assistant professor of Nordic literature at the University of Stavanger. Throughout his life, he has been an active proponent of language issues in Norway. In the 1960s, he served as the editorial secretary for the newspaper Orientering and became the first editor of Klassekampen in 1969 when he aligned with the new ML movement.
