Anders Fjose is a Norwegian biologist born on August 9, 1955, in Bergen. He is a professor at the Molecular Biology Institute at the University of Bergen. Fjose completed his cand.scient. in biochemistry in 1982 and earned his dr.phil. in cell biology in 1985. He won the 1st Meltzer Prize for his dissertation on the genetics of fruit flies. His research has focused on isolating and characterizing regulatory genes impacting the development and growth of these flies.
