Anatoly Efimovich Rasskazov (January 16, 1941 – February 17, 2010) was a Soviet photographer and illustrator who worked at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. He was the first to document the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in 1986. Born in Ukraine, he captured significant images during the early days of the accident but suffered health consequences due to radiation exposure, leading to severe medical conditions and ultimately death from cancer several years later.
