An Jeong-hwan is a South Korean judoka born on January 28, 1984, in Daegu, South Korea. He is the nephew of Olympic gold medalist Ahn Byeong-keun. At age 15, he moved to Japan to pursue judo in Fukuoka. After graduating from Yamanashi Gakuin University in 2006, he returned to Korea and joined the Pohang City Hall judo club. An achieved notable success by winning a bronze medal in the –66 kg division at the 2009 World Judo Championships held in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
