Nkosiyakhe Amos Masondo, born on April 21, 1953, is a South African politician currently serving as the Chairperson of the National Council of Provinces since May 23, 2019, and represents Gauteng. He was previously a Member of Parliament in the National Assembly from 2014 to 2019 and served as the first Mayor of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality from 2000 to 2011. Masondo is affiliated with the governing African National Congress (ANC).
