Ammar Sumaysim (September 11, 1908 - September 29, 1986) was an Iraqi Shia cleric and Islamic judge. Born in Najaf, he was educated in various religious disciplines under contemporary scholars. He served as a member of the administrative body of the Literary League in Najaf and managed it for sixteen years. Appointed as a judge in Nasiriyah in 1949, he later moved between cities in southern Iraq until his retirement in 1963. Sumaysim authored several manuscript works and a collection of poetry.
