Alphonse 'Fos' Grimler was a Luxembourgish handball player, union leader, and politician. Born on November 9, 1942, in Diddeleng, he played over 100 matches for HB Diddeleng, including 100 for the national team. He later served as a coach and president of HB Diddeleng. Grimler was instrumental in founding the Independent Trade Union Confederation of Luxembourg (OGBL) and was elected to the Chambre des employés privés in 1985. He also held the position of adviser and councilor in the municipality of Diddeleng. He passed away on March 25, 1999.
