Vilho Alvar Kosunen, known as Allu Kosonen, was a Finnish musician and composer born on July 17, 1908, in Kuopio. He was primarily a trumpeter but also played the accordion. Before World War II, he was active in bands like Zambassa, Ramblers, Dallapé, and Rytmi-Pojat. After the war, he led the orchestra of the Iloinen teatteri. His famous composition is the fox trot ‘Muistan sua Elaine,’ recorded by the Ramblers in 1931. The song gained renewed popularity in the 1980s through a television series.
