Alfried Längle is an Austrian psychotherapist, clinical psychologist, and medical doctor, born on March 27, 1951, in Götzis, Austria. After studying psychology and medicine and training under Viktor Frankl, he opened his private practice in Vienna in 1983. He served as Frankl's assistant lecturer from 1984 to 1986 and became a founding member and current president of the GLE in 1985. His close collaboration with Frankl ended in 1991 due to Längle's development of logotherapy.
