Alfred G. 'Slick' Surratt was an American baseball outfielder who played for the Kansas City Monarchs from 1947 to 1952. Born on November 9, 1922, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II before joining the Negro leagues. After his baseball career, he worked at Ford Motor Company for 51 years and co-founded the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City. Surratt was well-known in the community for sharing stories of the Negro leagues until his death on February 15, 2010.
