Alexandru Ghildus is a Romanian constructor, sculptor, painter, and decorator born on August 5, 1952, in Bucharest, Romania. He holds a doctorate in visual arts and serves as a professor and dean at the National University of Arts in Bucharest. Additionally, he is the president of the Romanian Professional Designers Society and has been a doctoral advisor since 2010. He gained public recognition for the Memorial of the Renaissance, a monumental ensemble commemorating the victims of the Romanian Revolution of December 1989, inaugurated on August 1, 2005.
