Born on either September 15 or March 12, 1953, in Leningrad, he is also a television and radio broadcaster, public figure, and author of health-related books. Since 2010, he has served as the chief physician at the M. Zhakevich City Clinical Hospital of the Moscow State Healthcare Institution. He received the Pirogov Medal on June 21, 2020, and was honored as an Outstanding Physician of Moscow on June 7, 2017.
