Alekseĭ Pavlovich Koposov (February 27, 1902 – December 9, 1967) was a Soviet composer, songwriter, choirmaster, and collector of Russian folk songs. Born in Zhizdra, he sang in choirs from a young age and served in the Red Army during the 1920s while composing military songs. He graduated from the musical college in Rostov-on-Don and the Moscow Conservatory. Koposov was known for organizing various choirs, including the All-Union Radio's Russian Folk Song choir, and he arranged popular folk songs, significantly contributing to Russian music.
