Aleksandr Nikolaevich Saurov is a Russian scientist born on January 3, 1960, in Ulyanovsk. He specializes in self-aligned methods for forming integral micro and nano structures, as well as silicon-carbon nanotechnologies in microelectronics and microsystem technology. He served as the director of the Technological Center from 1989 to 2018 and has been the scientific director since 2019. Saurov holds a doctorate in technical sciences (1999), became a professor in 2001, and was elected as an academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2016. He has directed the Institute of Nanotechnology in Microelectronics since 2009.
