Aleksandr Evgenyevich Maĭkapar (December 4, 1946 – June 1, 2021) was a distinguished Soviet and Russian pianist, harpsichordist, organist, musicologist, art critic, and translator. He served as a professor at the Gnesin Academy of Music and was honored as a People's Artist of the Russian Federation in 1999. He was also the grandson of Samuel Maĭkapar. His contributions to music and education have left a lasting impact in the field.
