Aleksandr Bronevitsky was a Soviet composer and choir conductor, born on July 8, 1931, in Sevastopol. He is noted for founding and leading the first vocal ensemble in the USSR, named 'Druzhba'. He was recognized as a Honored Artist of the RSFSR in 1970 and was the first husband of famous singer Edita Pieha. He passed away on April 13, 1988, in Nalchik.
