He gained distinction in the climbing community during the 1950s and 1960s through key ascents, such as the first repetition of the Normal route on Peña Sola and the opening of the Normal route on Puro. He participated in challenging climbs like the Serón-Millán route and made significant first repetitions, including the Ravier route. Tragically, he passed away while climbing the north face of the Eiger with Ernesto Navarro on August 15, 1963.
