Albert Bigielman was a French Jew born on November 1, 1932, in the 12th arrondissement of Paris. He was deported to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp at the age of 11 and survived the Holocaust. After the war, he became the president of the association of former deportees from Bergen-Belsen and authored the book 'J’ai eu douze ans à “Bergen-Belsen”' in 2005. He passed away on October 31, 2011, in the 10th arrondissement of Paris.
