Alan Yeomans was an Australian jockey, horse racing trainer, and swimmer, born on June 8, 1938. He began working with horses at 17 and achieved over 200 wins as a jockey. After becoming paraplegic at 21 due to a racing accident, he turned to swimming, earning three medals at the 1962 Commonwealth Paraplegic Games. Yeomans made history in 1967 by becoming Australia's first licensed paraplegic horse trainer, maintaining his role until 1997. He passed away on June 16, 2004, at the age of 66.
