Al-Saeed Al-Sayyid Ubadah (1934-2023) was a prominent Arab scholar, researcher, and critic. He specialized in Arabic literature, particularly in the works of the poet Abu Al-‘Ala Al-Ma‘arri. Ubadah served as a professor of rhetoric and literary criticism at Cairo University. He was a member of the Senior Scholars Authority at Al-Azhar University, as well as a member of the Egyptian Writers Union and the International Islamic Literary League.
