Åke Löfgren (1915-1995) was a Swedish publisher, author, and translator known for his work in children's literature. He began his career at KF's publishing house in 1936 and was influential in licensed the rights of 'Hompen', later renamed 'Bilbo'. Löfgren contributed significantly to the genre, writing various children's books himself and translating numerous Danish picture books, including the classic 'Nalle'. He also edited the children's magazine Klumpe-Dumpe for five years, promoting many authors throughout his over 40-year publishing career.
