Aiva Aparjode is a Latvian luger born on February 18, 1977. She competed in luge from 1998 to 2006 and participated in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, where she finished 18th in the women's singles event. Her best result in the FIL World Luge Championships was 17th place at the event held in Nagano in 2004. Additionally, her two children, Kristers and Kendija Aparjode, have followed in her footsteps and are also professional lugers.
