Aileen Christianson (1944-2020) was a Senior Lecturer in English Literature at the University of Edinburgh, specializing in Scottish literature and women's writing. She was the senior editor of 'The Collected Letters of Thomas and Jane Welsh Carlyle' and published extensively on Scottish women's writing, including a study of Willa Muir. Christianson was involved with Rape Crisis Scotland and received recognition from the Saltire Society for her contributions to Scottish literature and the arts.
