Adrian Proteasa, born on March 1, 1959, is a retired Romanian high jumper known for his achievements in the sport during the late 1970s and early 1980s. He won the bronze medal at the 1980 European Indoor Championships and finished seventh in the 1980 Olympic Games. Proteasa dominated national competitions, becoming champion five consecutive years from 1977 to 1981. His personal best jumps include 2.26 meters outdoors in July 1980 and 2.29 meters indoors in Sindelfingen 1980. He now serves as a high jumping coach in Norway.
