Adolf Frantzen was a Norwegian soldier who served during World War II in both Norway and Britain. He completed his recruit training in 1939 and was among the first to respond to the call to arms in April 1940. Captured on May 10, he returned home briefly before enlisting to serve in England in 1941. Frantzen became a radio operator and gunner in 330 Squadron and participated in several missions until his disappearance during an anti-submarine operation on April 5, 1945, shortly before the war ended. A memorial honors him in Ytre Arna.
