He graduated from Assiut University in 2003 and worked as a lawyer in various legal institutions. His works have been published in numerous Arabic newspapers and magazines, and some of his novels have been translated into several languages. Al-Abboudi is an active member of several literary organizations and has conducted writing workshops in Egypt.
