Abdus Selim, born on September 19, 1945, is a prominent Bangladeshi educator, writer, and translator. He received the Bangla Academy Award in 2015 for his contributions to translation literature. In 2021, he was awarded the Shilpakala Academy Award for his contributions to the performing arts. His English translation of 'Binodini' is included in the curriculum of the Drama Department at Yale University. He is currently a faculty member in the English Language and Literature Department at Central Women's University.
