Abdul Khaliq was a Pakistani sprinter born on March 23, 1933, in Jand, Punjab. He gained international recognition by winning the 100 m race at the 1954 Asian Games in Manila. Khaliq also competed in the 1956 Olympics, reaching the semifinals in the 100 m, 200 m, and as part of the 4x100 m relay team. He successfully defended his Asian Games title in 1958, obtaining silver in the 200 m. Khaliq continued to represent Pakistan in multiple competitions including the British Empire and Commonwealth Games until the 1960 Olympics.
