Abdul Gofur (born February 19, 1929) is a Bangladeshi journalist, teacher, essayist, and language activist. He played a significant role in the Language Movement, which sought to promote the Bengali language. In recognition of his contributions to the movement, the Government of Bangladesh awarded him the Ekushey Padak in 2005, honoring his dedication and efforts toward the preservation of the Bengali language and culture.
