Abd al-Latif al-Dulayshi was an Iraqi poet and historian born in Hamdan, Basra, in 1910. He gained recognition for his contributions to literature and history, receiving the Arab Historian Award for his book on Muhammad Amin al-Shanqeeti in the 20th century. Besides being a distinguished poet, he authored several works focused on Iraqi folklore and was also known as a story writer.
