Abbos Ashrabov (1913-1991) was a prominent Uzbek scientist in the field of construction, recognized as an Outstanding Scholar of Uzbekistan in 1964. He earned a Doctorate in Technical Sciences in 1961 and was a professor. Ashrabov contributed significantly to the theory and practice of construction materials and earthquake-resistant buildings. He was a pioneer in Central Asia for using lightweight aggregates such as expanded clay in concrete and iron-concrete products, advocating for the industrialization of construction methods and the modern utilization of historical landmarks.
