A. Q. M. Badruddoza Chowdhury, born on October 11, 1930, served as the President of Bangladesh from November 14, 2001, until his resignation on June 21, 2002. He is the founding general secretary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. Besides his political career, he is a doctor, cultural activist, author, essayist, playwright, television host, and speaker. In 1976, he received the National Television Award for his contributions to the media.
